The Australian Hairdressing Council (AHC) has launched its nominated charity campaign for 2019, CHARLIE’S ANGELS, encouraging hair salons from around Australia to join together to raise much needed funds for brain cancer research on behalf of the Charlie Teo Foundation.

Throughout the month of March, SAHB will become brain cancer ‘angels’ and will ask each of our beautiful clients for a $2 gold coin donation for every service in salon this month, which will be attributed towards the Charlie’s Angels campaign. Naturally, any additional
donations are very welcome throughout the month.

“Essentially, brain cancer kills more children than any other disease in Australia,” says Professor Charlie Teo.

“It kills more young adults than any other cancer, yet it is the least funded of all the cancers despite those statistics.”
“Our collaboration with the Australian Hairdressing Council came about because we saw a real fit between the Australian hair and beauty industries and brain cancer patients. We are asking for hairdressers around the country to become ‘angels’ for us by participating in this great initiative and help these patients get back into the community and feel normal again, which is very important when it comes to recovery and rehabilitation after brain surgery.”
